Cameron Zink

“It boils down to that feeling you got as a kid ‒ bicycles give you a freedom like no other.”

Cam Zink is one of the toughest dudes of the freeride scene; a solid rider who isn’t afraid of going all out. At Rampage 2012 he landed a 20 m gap on his heels instead of his wheels. Cam pulled through though and in 2013 made history by stomping the biggest backflip ever seen at Rampage. Then in August 2014 he set a new world record with a 100 foot backie, at the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park.
At Rampage 2017 Cam left us speechless with a mind-blowing run and two incredible backflips, which saw him take home second place. And we are sure, there is still more to come

Setup

As a classical freerider with roots in racing Cam rides a set up that is very different to most other riders. He runs both the CAPRA as well as the TUES in frame size M and with 30 % sag in the rear shock. He works with a very slow rebound and wants his rear shock very soft for more than half of the travel. But towards the end he needs it more and more progressive. He rides his fork very stiff, at about 15 % – 20 % sag, whilst the high- and low-speed compression is set according to the terrain.
