It is no coincidence that we named our enduro bike CAPRA, i.e. goat. Because just like a goat, the CAPRA masters every terrain. Aggressive design and fun-oriented geometry promise Good Times as of the first glance. A promise that is fulfilled once you get on the bike, because the CAPRA is what you make of it: A downhill bike that can also carry you back up the mountain, an enduro bike that rocks any bike park - truly a bike for any mission. This hardy beast provides plenty of stability and control, and goes around corners as if by itself. So get off the brakes and pin it!

The heart of the CAPRA is the hydro formed aluminum frame with carbon seat stays. To optimize the frame weight the tubes are multi-butted. The tube walls have been given extra thickness where required to stand up to the strong forces generated in critical areas. Or to talk plainly: 165-mm of quality suspension travel coupled with neutral riding characteristics and an optimal climbing position make for that perfect ride feel.

The V4L rear linkage is our proven recipe for providing a linear and sensitive suspension response. Developed by YT, critically acclaimed and often prized, V4L is progressive throughout the travel to prevent excessive sagging and harsh bottom outs. It holds you up in the travel and reacts only when it’s supposed to, namely to overcome obstacles on the trail and not under the influence of pedaling forces. This helps making the CAPRA a weapon on the uphill too. A slack head angle and 650B (27.5”) wheels contribute to the extreme directional stability of the CAPRA and make it seem like it has even more travel. To make sure the bike doesn’t mutate into a sluggish mothership, we kept the chain stays on the short side. All in all, the CAPRA lets you feel like you are really sitting in the bike.

New for 2016 is an entry-level segment with a well-balanced component selection that provides Young Talents on a budget a proper tool for pinning it. Featuring the reliable RockShox YARI RC 160 fork, SRAM’s DB5 brakes front and rear help you safely come to a stop after you get rowdy. And even for this entry level build, we rely on proven technology from SRAM for the 1x11 drivetrain.

If you intend to put rough turf under your wheels, the CAPRA is without a doubt the right weapon. Big hits, bike parks and even North Shore missions won’t phase it. Only if you’re planning on taking on the gnarliest of jumps is it time to take a look at the CAPRA’s big bro, the TUES. One more thing: Hitting jumps is a skill that has to be acquired and although enduro bikes like it rough, you should always check your bike for possible damage after each ride. Complying with the maintenance intervals will keep you and your bike smiling for a long time
