Timo Pries

It all started when 10-year old Timo was wreaking havoc with his BMX bike on the race track near his parents' house. He competed in BMX racing until he was 16 years old, at which point he started working after school. He still rode bikes for fun, but racing went on hold for a while. But once a racer, always a racer and a few years later, Timo took an interest in DH and lined up in the start gate once more. "I wasn't unhappy with my results in general, but I also wasn't really getting any faster." he says about this time. In the winter of 2020 he changed up his training regimen and 2021 turned into a really good season for him. The main highlight was a top-60 finish at the World Championships in Val di Sole - bring on 2022! When Timo isn't on his mountain bike he grabs his 300cc trials bike to work on his balance and concentration. During winter he'll happily go bouldering as well.
